Eventbrite - Quality in Agile: Practice & Strategy Conference

Description

Agile Vancouver will be hosting another of our successful conferences on 25 and 26 May 2012. This one will be focused on Quality in Agile: Practice & Strategy. The goal is to bring together developers, testers, performance and operational people, business analysts, and decision makers to collaboratively talk about Agile Quality as a strategy.

Why should you attend?

For decades we, as an industry, have known the importance of quality and its direct impact on sustained organizational success, yet all too often in Agile, Quality remains an afterthought. Lack of knowledge, tacit experience, access to specialists, support networks, communities of practice, and road-maps are all contributing factors to the challenges faced by organizations when formulating an Agile Quality strategy. Individually, we are unlikely to find solutions; but, as a community, we can make significant progress, and Agile Vancouver is putting on this conference as a vehicle for doing so.

What to Expect

We believe that the ideal conference has a mix of presentations from domain experts, in-depth discussions, delegate collaboration, networking, and opportunities for deep-dive sessions. This is exactly what we are planning.

Panel Discussion
The panel discussion will explore a range of issues related to the human, organizational, methodological, and technical sides to ensuring Quality during the transition to Agile. The discussion will be of interest to both teams that are new to Agile and those who have already made the transition. Our panelists will present their views and engage conference attendees in a discussion.

Open Session Discussions
Discussion sessions will be facilitated open-session style. This means that around the conference site there will be a number of discussion corners, each hosted by a facilitator who has experience to share. Conference attendees pick a topic and drop in, listen, learn, and contribute if they want.
Every organization is different, and we want to create an atmosphere of sharing, where people can learn and talk about how to select and use a blend of different tools and processes to define an approach that makes sense for an organization, its culture, and its teams.
